The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) started today (11) the 2nd pilot test for the 12th Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Aquaculture (CAFA), a preparatory step with tests to ensure quality and coverage of the survey that will be carried out all over the country. Six cities in four Major Regions will receive work teams. One of them is Rio Verde, in the state of Goiás.

The equipment and maps were distributed among the teams early in the morning, before their commute to the agricultural establihments and the traditional communities.

The first interviews have already been conducted, wih an innovation: data collection tablets now have bigger screens. Late in the afternoon, the enumerators went back to the meeting point at the IBGE branch and evaluated the work of the first day.

The operation is also being executed in the cities of Irati (PR), Barcarena (PA), Uruçuí (PI), Corumbá (MS) and Viamão (RS), the cities chosen for this round of tests. You can follow the activities of each day on the Agência de Notícias, Site Oficial do Censo and on the Institute's social media channels: Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook.
