The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) started today (11) the 2nd pilot test for the 12th Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Aquaculture (CAFA), a preparatory step with tests to ensure quality and coverage of the survey that will be carried out all over the country. Six cities in four Major Regions will receive work teams. One of them is Irati, in the state of Paraná.
In the morning, the state Superintendency met with the data colection agents for sharing instructions about the activity. In the afternoon, traditional peoples and communities received the teams and the focus was livestock raised outdoors.
The presence of traditional peoples and communities in Irati was the reaso behind the choice of this municipality for the second pilot test. The faxinalenses, a traditional community which uses a unique agricultural production system stands out in the area.
The operation is also being executed in the cities of Barcarena (PA), Uruçuí (PI), Rio Verde (GO), Corumbá (MS) and Viamão (RS), the cities chosen for this round of tests. You can follow the activities of each day on the IBGE News Agency, Census website and on the Institute's social media channels: Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook.
