The data were released today (12) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

For the year, the index advances 2.89%. In April 2025, the indicator was 0.46%.

“The rate recorded in April 2026 is the third highest since 2005 for the month, considering that in the years 2021 and 2022, the changes captured were under the influence of Covid-19,” highlights survey manager Augusto Oliveira.

From January to April, the cumulative figures were: 1.90% (materials) and 4.19% (labor force). The cumulative figures over twelve months were 4.99% (materials) and 9.77% (labor force), respectively.
