The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) started today (11) the 2nd pilot test for the 12th Census of Agriculture, Forestry and Aquaculture (CAFA), a preparatory step with tests to ensure quality and coverage of the survey that will be carried out all over the country. Six cities in four Major Regions will receive work teams. One of them is Uruçuí, in the state of Piauí.

Early in the morning the group had a meeting for the separation of teams. The enumerators went into the field in the afternoon, and the evaluation of this first day is expected to take place on Tuesday (12) morning, when data collection will be resumed.

In Piauí, the choice of Uruçuí was based on the expansion of agriculture in this southweastern municipality. The complexity of production logistics was also taken into consideration.

The operation is also being executed in the cities of Irati (PR), Barcarena (PA), Uruçuí (PI), Rio Verde (GO), Corumbá (MS) and Viamão (RS), the cities chosen for this round of tests. You can follow the activities of each day on the IBGE News Agency, Census website and on the Institute's social media channels: Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook.
