On April 30, IBGE will release 2022 Population Census information on earnings of household heads


On April 30, at 10 am, the IBGE will release 2022 Population Census information on earnings of household heads. These results complement the product Aggregates by Enumeration Area: Population Results, available on the survey´s page.
Albeit this variable is useful for specific procedures, like sample design, it should be highlighted that its use is limited, since it refers only to the household head and not to all the residents in the housing unit. As a result, it is not possible to calculate indicators, like poverty rate and Gini index, or to rank geographies according to earnings.
The data can be viewed on the IBGE portal and they will include a technical note.
