On September 28, IBGE will release, as Experimental Statistics, the Biannual Survey of Innovation 2022 : Thematic indicators


On September 28 at 10 AM, the IBGE will release, as Experimental Statistics, the second edition of the Biannual Survey of Innovation, which shows the results of the use of Advanced Digital Technologies, Remote Working and Cybersecurity in the Brazilian industrial companies with a hundred or more persons employed. Reference Period 2022.

Among the major statistics produced, the survey will present the percentage of companies that use advanced technologies like big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, Internet of things, additive manufacturing and robotics. The degree of use of these technologies by business area/function, benefits obtained, contributing factors and difficulties to adopt them are investigated as well. In the theme Remote Working, the survey explores the use and scope by business area/function and, in the context of Cybersecurity, the measures used for the security of the digital information. The Biannual PINTEC is the result of a partnership between the IBGE, the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI) and the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IE/UFRJ).

These statistics are classified as experimental and should be used with caution, as they are new statistics still in the test phase and under assessment.
