December 05, 2014 09h00 AM | Last Updated: February 02, 2018 03h48 PM
The National Index of Civil Construction (Sinapi), estimated by IBGE in partnership with CAIXA, posted a change of 0.20% in November, staying 0.10 percentage points below October's rate (0.30%). Considering the period from January to November, the result was of 5.50%. The result of the last 12 months was of 6.54%, below the 6.66% recorded in the twelve months prior to that period. In November 2013, the rate was at 0.42%. These cumulative results reflect the exemption in the payroll of the enterprises of the civil construction sector, according to law no 12,844, enacted on July 19, 2013. When the exemption is not taken into account, the cumulative index in the year stays at 5.58% and in the last 12 months, at 6.53%. The complete publication of the survey can be accessed at: www.ibge.gov.br/home/estatistica/indicadores/precos/sinapi/.
The national cost of construction, by square meter, which closed October at R$ 905.65, changed to R$ 907.43 in November, being R$ 494.93 relative to material and R$ 412.50 to workforce. Regardless of real payroll exemption, the national cost of construction, by square meter, in the end of August, was R$ 970.77, being R$ 495.55 relative to material and R$ 472.31, to workforce.
Materials recorded change of -0.07%, having fallen 0.53 percentage points in relation to the previous month (0.46%), whereas workforce recorded a 0.52% change, having increased by 0.42 percentage points in relation to October (0.10%). From January to November, the cumulative figures are: 4.39% (material) and 6.87% (workforce), whereas in twelve months, they are: 5.03% (material) and 8.41% (workforce).
Northeast Region records biggest monthly change: 0.76%
With change of 0.76%, the Northeast Region recorded the biggest increase in November. The other results were: 0.07% (North); -0.18% (Southeast); 0.27% (South) and 0.09% (Central West). Regional costs, by square meter, were: R$ 921.38 (North); R$ 849.69 (Northeast); R$ 945.19 (Southeast); R$ 923.36 (South) and R$ 923.53 (Central West).
Pernambuco records the biggest change: 3.98%
Due to the pressure exerted by salary rise resulting from a collective agreement, Pernambuco was the state recording the biggest hike in the month, with a rate of 3.98%.
These results are calculated monthly by IBGE in partnershipo with CAIXA – Caixa Econômica Federal, according toSINAPI – Sistema Nacional de Pesquisa de Custos e Índices da Construção Civil. SINAPI, created in 1969, has the purpose of producing information on costs and indexes in a systematic way and with a national coverage, in order to elaborate and evaluate budgets as well as monitor costs. In 2002, the National Congress approved, by means of the Budgetary Directives Law (LDO), the use of SINAPI as the reference for calculating costs in civil construction. |
